Just north of the established Flying Horse resort community situated along Hwy 83 and North Gate, you will find Flying Horse North, the Pikes Peak Region's newest luxury golf course community nestled in the forest of northern Colorado Springs. Flying Horse North is located along Old Stagecoach Road, between Black Forest Road and Highway 83, south of Hodgen Road.
Flying Horse North features luxurious homesites an 18-hole golf course designed by golf course architect, Phil Smith. Flying Horse North golf facilities and services are managed by The Club at Flying Horse.
Filing 1 of Flying Horse North is sold out! The first release of homesites in Flying Horse North was comprised of 81 acreage home sites that range from two-and-a-half to five acres. Individuals who chose to build in Filing 1 of Flying Horse North had the opportunity to purchase a lot and bring their own builder or choose from a list of preferred builders. All acreage homesites in Flying Horse North included a Signature Golf Membership in The Club at Flying Horse. The timeline for development of Filing 2 and future phases is to be determined. Private tours of the community and The Club are available by appointment.

November 16, 2022 - Flying Horse North Project Update
El Paso County Commissioners voted to approve the Flying Horse North sketch plan in a 3 to 1 vote. The approval allows Flying Horse Development to continue moving forward with the plans to increase housing opportunities in this highly desirable area in northern Colorado Springs and the Black Forest. The new sketch plan represents the addition of homes and the luxury hotel. The development team is now working through additional stages in the approval process and is in the very early planning stages. At this time we do not have anticipated timelines for development, custom lot availability or new home sales. We will continue to update this page as plans for Flying Horse North progress. NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING NOTIFICATION

Meeting Details:
The project team will be presenting the revised Sketch Plan that has been re-submitted to El Paso County. After the brief presentation the team will be available to answer questions. Prior to any formal public hearing (i.e. Planning Commission or Board), a notification of the time and place will be posted on the property. A public hearing schedule is not yet determined at this time.

1st Quarter 2022: Flying Horse North - Community Concept Development Plan Update
Flying Horse Development, LLC is contemplating a change to the community concept plan for Flying Horse North that will have an impact on the preliminary development plan for Filing 2 as well as future filings of the community.
Voluntary Public Meetings: A series of voluntary neighborhood meetings took place at
Discovery Canyon Campus Cafetorium at 1810 North Gate Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80921 at 6:30pm on the following dates: 1/18/22, 1/20/22, 1/25/22, 1/27/22. Meeting attendees should park in the northwest parking lot nearest the Cafetorium entrance. Each meeting is specific to immediately adjacent neighborhoods respectively: Flying Horse North Filing 1 (1/18), Cathedral Pines (1/20), High Forest Ranch (1/25), the remainder of Black Forest and surrounding areas (1/27). The meetings will be videotaped for the project team's reference and the video may be shared on this page at the developer's discretion.
