Ashley Jones came to Flying Horse recently and works as part of our Gatehouse Staff. She was born and raised in Granite City, IL and came to Colorado this past February. She is currently in the National Guard while also attending college for her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. Ashley is the oldest sibling of 9 children (including herself), 5 brothers and 3 sisters! She loves hanging out with her red nose pitbull puppy “Captain”, working out and reading lots of books. If you have yet to meet her, make sure you say hello, she is sincere, welcoming and Flying Horse could not be happier to add her to our team.

So pleased to announce our recertification as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" from Audubon International Organization early this month. This certification means the Club has proven to be environmentally aware and takes voluntary actions to "sustain the land, water, wildlife, and natural resources around them". "The Club at Flying Horse has shown a strong commitment to its environmental program. They are to be commended for their efforts to provide a sanctuary for wildlife on the golf course property". - Tara Donadio, Director of Cooperative Sanctuary Programs at Audubon International. Shout out to all of our hardworking staff for ensuring their commitment!

This chilly weather makes us reminiscent of these blue skies, purple mountains and lush green course! Devin Mergl, who works for Flying Horse takes GORGEOUS pictures and is letting us share them with you! Take a look at how he describes his dedication for photography, "I've always had a passion for photography and I'm lucky enough my career allows me to take some amazing photographs. I got into photography when I started working at my first golf course, Saddle Rock in 2007 and continued with it when I took photography classes while attending Colorado State University. I think the most rewarding part about capturing great photos at the course, is being able to stop and really appreciate all the hard work our maintenance crew does and just being able to appreciate the small details that pull it all together. Just being able to enjoy a job well done!" We will keep posting his pictures so stay tuned.

Alyssa Deines works in The Athletic Club at The Juice Bar! She has been with us for 6 weeks and we genuinely love her as our new addition. Before making her way here she worked as a manager in a local emergency room. Alyssa is from Pennsylvania near Penn State where she lived for 24 years. She moved around a bit but ended up in Colorado four years ago and loves it. She enjoys hiking, camping and hanging out with her adorable dogs. Make sure you say hello, she is sure to brighten your day.
